Jamestown Christian Church Opens New Facility
 
Jamestown, IN – October 23, 2013 – Jamestown Christian Church proudly announces the opening of their new facility on Sunday, Nov. 17.  The facility is located at 900 N. Lebanon St. (SR 75) just north of Jamestown.
 
In their present location since 1870, Jamestown Christian Church began serving Jamestown and the surrounding area and has continued to grow and be a vital part of the community for over 140 years. Although additions and renovations to the current building have taken place over the years, this is the first relocation and building program in the entire history of the church.
 
Current Senior Pastor, Scott Ailes says that the church’s internal focus as they prepare to embark on this new journey is three-fold, “We definitely want to honor our past, become increasingly active in the present and be excited about the future”.
 
This new 1.4 million dollar facility was made possible by financial commitments from the congregation, grants, infrastructure assistance from Witham Health Services and the generous donation of 20 acres of land from the estate of the late Virgil Benge.
 
“We are very excited about this new facility,” added Ailes, “It will allow us to expand our ministry, add new programs and activities and serve our community better.”
 
Jamestown Christian Church also offers additional ministries to the Jamestown area, including “The Giving Tree” which is a community food pantry and the “JCC Shelter House” which is an outdoor facility for churches, community groups, organizations and family reunion type gatherings.
 
The Grand Opening Celebration will take place on Sunday, November 17, 2103 with a brief dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting at 2:00pm, followed by a open house from 3:00pm-5:00pm.
 
As part of the Grand Opening Celebration, the church will feature contemporary worship band, “Out of the Dust” during the open house.
